why should i enroll with opt hires?
There is absolutely no cost (and therefore no risk) to enroll in the program, apply to jobs, and interview with companies through OPT Hires. There is no cost for us to review your profile & resume and help you improve it.
We would only charge you a program fee once you have been offered a job through us and accepted the offer.

how much does the program cost?
Only if and when you have been offered a job through us and accepted the offer, would we then charge you a program fee. The first payment of 30% of your monthly pre-tax salary is due upon accepting the job offer and a second payment of 30% of your monthly pre-tax salary will be due at the start of your second month working.
when should i apply?
The best time would be 3-6 months before your program ends. This will allow us enough time to guide & prepare you and work to find job opportunities for you.
If you find out about us earlier (more than 6 months before graduation) or later (up to 60 days after your program end date on your I-20) please still contact us so we can see how we can assist you.

what is the process like?
You can either contact us or directly complete an application to get the process started. Someone at OPT Hires will contact you to touch-base and learn more about you. We will send you the program agreement for you to review and sign (there is absolutely no financial commitment on your part at this point).
We will ask for your resume and will give you tips on how to improve it. We will then share your profile with our network of companies and start looking for a job for you. As soon as we have someone interested in your profile we will set up an interview between the employer and you & help you prepare for it.
Once a company has interviewed you they will let us know if they'd like to move forward with you, in which case their offer will be presented to you. If you accept it, we will send you an invoice for the first payment of the program fee. The balance will be due at the end of your second month working.

what kind of jobs will i be offered?
Per regulation, your OPT job must be related to your field of study. View our Sample Jobs here.

Most OPT students are recent graduates with little to no practical experience in their field. It is therefore safe to expect entry-level salaries. You do not need to pay for Social Security or Medicare taxes while on your OPT, which represents a 15% savings. Please remember that our program fee is a percentage of your salary which is a guarantee that we will work to find you a good job with a fair compensation.
